What causes  ageing?

Many cells and functions within the skin are affected in the natural ageing process. Your therapist will help determine and help you understand your specific skin. At Milk and Honey, we help to stimulate collagen and elastin and get the skin functioning at an optimum level to help slow down and reverse the signs of ageing.
Is this better than injectables or surgery?

We focus on real, sustained change within the skin for long-term results. Although injectables and surgery have their place, depending on your skin goals, your therapist will guide you and make recommendations accordingly. We work with a wonderful cosmetic nurse within the clinic and have contacts for plastic surgeons if needed.

When will I see results?

Depending on the treatment modalities, you can often see improvement, especially in your hydration and texture after your first treatment. Other treatments it will take a while for your skin to rebuild and firm.

Can I combine with Botox or fillers?

Absolutely. Botox or fillers work differently and can enhance your results. We work on skin health, colour, texture, tone and function, whereas injectables relax and fill. We have a great cosmetic nurse at Milk and Honey if you would like to discuss further. 

The general rule is not to have any facial for 2 weeks post-injectables. There will be some cases you will need to avoid injectables post-treatment for a period of time. Please let your therapist or injector know so they can guide you.

Is there downtime?

Your therapist will guide and warn you if there is any downtime required and will work around your schedule. Depending on the treatment modality, you can expect to occasionally be pink for up to three days post-treatment. In some cases, you can also expect to be dry and flaky.

What home care is essential?

Unfortunately, skin care routines are not universal. Your therapist will prescribe the home care she thinks is best suited to your skin and your goals in order to support your skin in getting the best results. We have different skin care ranges including DMK, La Clinica, Mesoestetic and DP Dermaceuticals.
Do results last after the programme ends?

Anti-ageing is forever. At Milk and Honey, our goal is to change your skin long-term, but maintenance is key. Your therapist will guide you on what maintenance is best for your skin.
