FAQs for Laser Hair Removal

Every 4–12 weeks, based on your hair growth. We plan it so we hit the hairs when they're ready to go. Every persons journey is diffent and time between treatments varies throughout the course based on results, appointments can range from as little as 4 weeks up to 8 weeks for courses then 12 – 18 months for maintenance “one-off’ appintments.

At milk and honey skin clinic we like our clients to commit to a full year of laser for optimal results and flexibility in the treatment course.

Laser hair reduction is not pain free and some discomfort can be felt for darker hairs. Unshaven hairs can also create more heat and more pain so prep work for laser requires shaving prior to the appointment. Our cool tip-diode is designed to reduce discomfort and most clients feel the cooling sensation over the lasers heat.

Area may feel warm for 1 – 4 hours, visible erythema may be present.

Unfortunately no. laser hair reduction is drawn to pigmentation. Come in for a patch test if you are unsure.

We treat the follicle Not the hair shaft. Shaving allows for direct energy flow to the hair follicle for optimal results and minor discomfort. No waxing or plucking for 4–6 weeks before as this removes the follicle we treat. Please shave prior to appointment or add-on shaving as an option when booking appointment.

Laser hair reduction is not permanent, maintenance sessions 12-18 months may be required.
